Health Care Reform
The program addressed how health care reform could affect Americans just as the nation's Congress continues working on a merged bill.
The program highlighted Steve Stranne, a doctor and health care attorney with the law firm of Bryan Cave Powell Goldstein. Stranne is on the front lines of the debate and he provided an insider's perspective on the state of the progress, including how reforms will affect health care and who covers the costs. Cindy Zeldin, executive director of Georgians for a Healthy Future, a health care policy and consumer advocacy group, discussed dimensions of the current health care system in the U.S. and the gaps in access to health care for many.
Randall Hughes, a Georgia State College of Law faculty fellow and adjunct professor, moderated the discussion. He is formerly of Bryan Cave Powell Goldstein in the Atlanta health care practice.
